Medical Laboratory Technician - Laboratory
Job Summary:
Within the framework of the laboratory, under the direct of a technical or general supervisor. Performs laboratory testing and related documentation functions accurately and in a timely manner to provide information for patient care. Performs routine and specialized testing as well as activities associated with actual testing such as quality control, quality assurance, and instrument maintenance.
Qualifications:
Must be registered as a Medical Technologist by the Registry Board of the American Society of Clinical Pathologist (ASCP) or the American Medical Technologists (AMT) and must have at least an Associate or Bachelor in Medical Laboratory program. Must have current BLS certification.
