Biography:
Dr. Preston McDonnell was born in Hazlehurst, Mississippi and is a graduate of Ole Miss. He obtained his medical degree at University of Missisippi Medical Center in Jackson. He completed his residency in family medicine also at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson where he served as Chief Resident and recieved the George Bevell Memorial Fellowship award in Family Medicine. He joined the practice of Copiah Medical Associates in 2012 which his grandfather started in the 1940s and his father has been a part of since 1977.
Dr. McDonnell is a board certified by the American board of Family Medicine and is an active member of the American Board of Family Medicine as well as the Mississippi Board of Family Medicine. He is the Chief of Staff at Copiah County Medical Center and serves as medical director for home health and hospice agencies in the community.
